- How does Claw's Cheap Flights work?
- Simple! I scour for cheap international flight deals all day, every day. When I find a particularly good one, I send it to you.
- What makes Claw's Cheap Flights better than other "deal" sites?
- I find better fares to/from more places and make sure you know about them before they disappear. Plus, unlike other sites, I don't get any commission if you book a flight. As a result, I only send out genuinely good deals.
- How many emails should I expect?
- It all depends on how many great deals there are. On average, around 30-40 deals/month are sent out to the premium list. I'll still only send out exceptionally good fares, though, rather than spamming your inboxes to meet an artificial quota.
- Are you going to spam my email with lame deals?
- Nah, I hate those email subscriptions that implore you to buy a flight every time the price drops $20 because they get a commission. I don't receive any commission, so my only interest is helping people find steals.
- Are these all last-minute deals?
- Nope. Timing varies with each deal, but most alerts I send out are for travel dates as much as 9 months in the future.
- I'm not from the United States or Canada. Is this still useful for me?
- Not currently :-( Sorry! For now, all the deals I find and send out will originate in the United States or Canada.
- Do you send out cheap domestic flights?
- Almost all the alerts I send out to the list are for international flights, since those are the priciest to begin with and therefore have the highest potential for savings. Still, I occasionally send great fares to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, etc. If there's enough demand, I may expand to domestic flights soon-ish!
- Do you send out business / first class fares? Or just economy fares?
- Every once in awhile I send out business/first class fares, but to be honest it's rare. The vast majority of alerts I send out are for economy fares.
- Can you help me find a cheap flight to _______?
- I search for flights all around the world and send them out as soon as I find a good one. Alas, given the dozens of requests I get each day for help planning a specific trip, I just don't have enough bandwidth to offer personalized flight consultations.
- How do I update the region(s) I receive alerts from?
- Pull up the last email I sent you and click the "update region" link at the bottom.
- Why do you send out alerts for a region rather than individual cities?
- Because the best deals often leave from a nearby airport. The best deal I ever found was a $65 flight from NYC to Milan. It was well worth a bus ride up to New York.
- I signed up. Why am I not receiving emails?
- Sometimes emails end up in the spam folder or in Gmail's "Promotions" tab. Please check there!
- Is my credit card info secure?
- 100%. All payments are processed by Stripe, the same credit card processor used by large companies like Twitter and Reddit, with 128-bit SSL security.
- Can I cancel at anytime? How?
- Yes. Click the unsubscribe link in any email. I'll miss you, but will eventually get over it.
- What's with the lobster?
